Key Staff
Greg Stefanski, M.Ed., Laraway’s Executive Director, joined the agency in 1999 as Business Manager. His previous professional experience includes financial management positions at Northwestern University. Greg is past president of the Vermont Coalition of Residential Providers and is married with three children.
Rebecca Hemmer, M.A., Director of Laraway’s Substitute Care Program, has worked at the agency since 1994. With a graduate degree in Mental Health Counseling, she brings extensive experience in crisis support and transitional services to at-risk youth. In her free time, Becca enjoys writing poetry, flower gardening, and spending time with family.
Julie Landry, M.Ed., Director of the Laraway School, joined Laraway in 2003 and brings over 30 years of teaching and administrative experience. She previously coordinated programming for Central Vermont Adult Basic Education, Inc. She is married with three children and enjoys spending time with her large extended family.
Sarah Squirrell, B.A., Laraway's Backpack Director, entered the community mental health profession in 2001 and joined Laraway in 2005. Her previous work experience insludes serviing as a supervisor at a mirco-residential home for adolescent females. Sarah enjoys running marathons, gardening and spending time with family.
Matt Sadowsky, M.A., Laraway’s in-house Clinical Psychologist, provides individual and group therapy services. He brings experience from counseling positions at Pine Ridge School, St. Michael’s College, and the Howard Center. Matt is married and enjoys traveling, playing guitar, and working on old cars.
Jim Heath, Laraway’s Business Manager, joined Laraway in 2004 and brings to his role extensive experience as a business owner and a staff accountant for Lamoille County Mental Health. Jim’s civic involvements include election to the Hyde Park School Board and Select Board. He is married with two children and is a proud grandfather of one.
Katherine Stamper, MPA, serves as Laraway's Development Director. She brings to her role experience as a grant consultant, workshop facilitator in Vermont prisons, and freelance writer. Katherine is on the faculty of the Community College of Vermont. She enjoys running, hiking and spending time with her family.
Rhonda Stuart, serves as Laraway's Human Resources Director. She brings nearly 20 years of experience from positions held at Ben & Jerry's Homemade, Inc., Husky Injection Molding Systems and Vermont Mechanical, Inc. She is married with two children and enjoys camping, gardening and spending time with family and friends.
